My Mayor is Better Than Your Mayor.
We say it a lot, but I’ll say it again because I'm the kind of person who flaunts it when I’ve got it: I get to work with the best clients ever at cStreet.
Without a doubt, one of the best parts of my job is getting to work with exceptional people on some of the most important campaigns in North America. So when I heard we were about to kick off another project with our good friends over at Vision Vancouver I eagerly buckled up for what was sure to be a fun ride.

For those of you not anxiously following Vancouver civic politics here’s the down low on the #1 reason why I am so hype on working with Vision Vancouver: Mayor Gregor Robertson and council have been environmental champions, and are leading the fighting against climate change by making Vancouver the greenest city in the world.
As Vancouver looks to the future and moves towards 100% renewable power, city hall is not taking any guff from any oil executive, Prime Minister, Premier, or political operative of any party stripe. They’re standing with us. The communities and the people of BC to make sure that special interests know our coast and our city are not, and will never be for sale to the biggest polluters in the world.
At a time when so many of the political powers-that-be in the West are pushing for a dated vision of bitumen export pipelines from Alberta out in every direction, Vision Vancouver stands out for its activism. I know I’m not alone when I say that this makes me proud to live in this city. It’s a special thing when our government speaks out from a position of power to unequivocally reject the poisoning of our land, air, and water against the pressures of one of the most profitable and powerful industries in the country.
If we live on this planet, we always have skin in the game when it comes to tackling climate change. As a resident of Vancouver, I know exactly what kind of climate change denying troglodytes could be running the city if it weren’t for a strong campaign machine beating them at the ballot box. So when we put the new www.votevision.ca together I knew we had to keep the campaign tradition alive and strong to keep the party and it’s movement growing. To keep members connected to the governing priorities that affect the day to day lives of the over half a million people who choose to live, work, and raise families here.
We’re extremely proud of the new fresh face of Vision Vancouver’s online home, so give it a gander and if you’re still wondering what the big deal is, watch this video and just *try* not to be super jealous of our Mayor.
