Latest Campaign: Upstream

We’re happy to announce our latest project: Upstream.

Upstream is a new Canadian non-profit based in Saskatoon that aims to create a healthy society through evidence-based, people-centred ideas. They reframe public discourse around addressing the social determinants of health in order to build a healthier society.

There are a few key pieces to this launch that I’m excited about:

• Claim your profile, take action, and grow your Upstream Score. By leveraging a customized version of NationBuilder’s Political Capital system, activists with Upstream will be able to keep track of the actions they’ve undertaken to help grow the new movement and see this reflected in a score displayed right below their profile picture.  

• Email your elected official - powered by NationBuilder. Upstream was the catalyst behind the development of our new ‘Email Your Elected Official pages’, and we’re excited to see them used on a number of Upstream campaigns across Canada.

• Read your streams. Upstream has organized their content across issue types (Streams) and content types (Sub-Streams) to make for simpler and more accessible content discovery for users.
