Brief:
cStreet Campaigns is looking for a Digital Campaigner to join our growing team. The Digital Campaigner is responsible for helping our clients deploy multi-channel campaigns that include the web, social media, field, bulk email, & SMS. You’ll be working with a variety of world-changing groups that includes environmental, First Nations, labour unions, and political campaigns.
Your job will be to help our clients succeed using NationBuilder to organize their campaigns and projects, working with our team to execute projects on time and on budget. In this role you will directly liaise with clients, and will report to cStreet’s VP of Operations
A typical workday might look something like this:
9:00: All staff meeting with our small team of designers, developers, and campaigners
10:00: Run a training (over G+ Hangouts) with a client on how to execute a bulk email campaign
11:00: Review a client’s data sets and supporter interaction histories to determine opportunities for deeper engagement
12:00: Lunch strategy session on a new project
1:00: Produce a memo on best practices for supporting distributed campaign-events for a client
2:00: Draft suggestions on how to convert lapsed emails into campaign activists
3:00: Drink lattes at Dark Horse Espresso
4:00: Create a subnation of an existing nation for a client based on best practices
5:00: Implement a copy deck on a NationBuilder microsite
6:00: Launch a Google Adwords & promoted tweets campaign
Required Experience:
- Using a CRM or organizing toolset (Salsa Labs, Salesforce, NDPVote, BSD Tools, VAN, etc)
- 1-3 years working in a campaigns environment (labour, progressive nonprofit, political)
- Writing bulk email appeals, writing for the web
- Managing social media properties
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- NationBuilder
- Google Analytics
- Optimizely
- HTML, CSS, Liquid
- Google, Facebook, & Twitter ad products
Other Notes:
- We work at a breakneck pace and expect any new staff to jump in at full speed.
- Training to become a NationBuilder pro is provided
- Hours of work and salary are negotiable, but we describe our payscale as ‘fair but modest’.
- This will be a 3 month initial contract with the goal of becoming a full-time permanent position
