Latest Campaign: Joe Buscaino, LA's 15th District

Today we’re excited to launch our latest project: LA15th, the new digital home for Los Angeles’s most digitally-savvy Councilmember, Joe Buscaino.

LA15th is unique as an elected official’s digital property, for a few reasons:  

• Residents of the district can directly submit community issues that require attention and have them directed to the office’s Community Relations staff.

• The Councilmember’s staff will be using custom contact types to manage different kinds of constituent interactions, tags to segment the database, and point people/follow-ups to make sure that every constituent concern is captured and resolved.

• The homepage highlights the Councilmember’s social media properties in a live feed.  

• Residents can submit ideas they’d like to see the Councilmember take up on the ‘Suggest an Idea’ page (powered by a NationBuilder suggestion box). We customized this page so that suggestions that receive a the most feedback are highlighted as “hot topics”.

• We developed the site as a mobile-first site that’s fully responsive across tablets, phones, laptops, and desktops.

We’re really excited about this new site, and hope to see more representatives like Joe, who take advantage of NationBuilder to connect more deeply with their community and govern better.
