In NationBuilder you can add banner images in a carousel across the top of your page. In Social Democrat we made these into balling full-width images so you can make a real impact. Choose images that are fairly large, professional, and beautiful. Your image choice is your first impression for your site visitor.

HOW TO UPLOAD A BANNER IMAGE

Add a Featured Content Slider by following these instructions: http://nationbuilder.com/how_do_featured_content_sliders_work. Sliders do not need a ‘call to action’ on the homepage because the call to action will be automatically replaced by a signup form for logged-in users. 

PICKING THE RIGHT HEADER IMAGE

When the site is viewed on a smaller screen size, header images will be scaled down and centre-positioned, meaning that the left and right part of the image will be hidden from view. Make sure to select images that have their highlight in the centre of the image (see red highlight below).

TECHNICAL SPECS

Minimum dimensions: 1600 px x 650 px 

File Size: 100-300 kb/image

NOTE: when the technical specs listed above are not met, the user may experience longer page loading times or come across blurry header images. The more images you include in your carousel, the more careful you need to be about image file size.
