**UPDATE: Authorize.net now supports onetime and recurring donations for NationBuilder in Canada! [LINK]**
Campaigns and organizations that utilize NationBuilder in Canada are often challenged to understand the options for integrated donation and payment processing.
In Canada, you’re limited to two options – standard PayPal and PayPal Payflow Pro – both of which offer their own set of advantages and disadvantages for donations processing.

A standard PayPal account is free and will allow your Nation to process donations, membership payments, paid events, and invoices. The downside of using a standard PayPal account is that users are forced to leave your site to complete their transaction on paypal.ca. The upside, however, is that this standard PayPal account allows you to collect recurring donations through NationBuilder’s membership page-type.
PayPal Payflow Pro offers one big advantage over the standard PayPal account, giving you perhaps the most important feature of a donation page: one-click donations. Users who are looking to make a donation or purchase a ticket or membership through your Nation will go through the fewest steps using a Payflow Pro account. The drawback, however, is that these accounts do not allow for recurring donations.
Because of this, the ideal arrangement for most Nations will be to connect both types of PayPal accounts, and use them both depending on the page-type.
